Dr. Lucas Szczepanik was born and raised in Sault Ste. Marie, Ontario and makes Leamington his home. He earned his Doctor of Chiropractic degree and Bachelor of Science degree from Northwestern Health Sciences University in Bloomington Minnesota. His pre-chiropractic requirements were earned while attending Lake Superior State University in Michigan.
Activity in team sports throughout school lead to an emphasis in sports medicine with Chiropractic care. Supporter of an active lifestyle, Dr. Lucas Szczepanik took a strong interest in the relationship between muscle tension and joint dysfunction. Diversified adjusting methods and Myofascial Release Therapy are just some techniques used by a chiropractor on dysfunctional joints for optimal performance in athletic activity.
Recognizing these techniques would also greatly benefit the elderly he has sought to work with seniors to increase their mobility through a graduated approach. Gentle mobilization and the use of modalities (such as ultrasound, moist heat, interferential therapy) helps to reduce tension and stress on arthritic joints, something very beneficial for the elderly.
His Chiropractic philosophy ensures an active body’s full potential from a young athlete to the middle-aged person as well the elderly. His personal goal is to help as many people as possible to achieve and maintain optimal health well into old age with nutrition, exercise and the therapeutic intervention provided with Chiropractic care. Helping people help themselves.
